"Accounts team member Job specification October 2013 The role is to be a member of the accounts team of Regent Property Management, a property management company that manages a large portfolio of apartment blocks and housing estates in England. The company's head office is in London where most of the staff are based. Its investor clients are based in the UK and Israel. This job will be based in the Raanana office and will work very closely with the four person accounting team in London on a daily basis. The business uses the Qube property management and property accounting system extensively to manage the property portfolio and the property finances and much of the job involves working on the system to input transactions and produce reports. The job is full time, 40 hours a week, but there is some flexibility with working hours. Pay will be in line with market rates. Experience and attitude: - Excellent written and spoken English. English as a mother tongue - required - Minimum 5 years relevant commercial experience - required - Good Excel skills (not programming) – required - Ability to quickly build rapport and strong cooperation with the London team – required - Ability to differentiate when to escalate issues to ensure prompt resolution of issues – required - Experience of Qube property management system or other property managements system - highly desirable but not required - Experience of property accounting - advantage but not required - Bookkeeping / finance / accounting background - desirable but not required - Self-starter / ability to work without close supervision. Role – primary responsibilities 1. Daily bank reconciliation process: Print property account bank statements from banking system, record payments on Qube, reconcile bank accounts to Qube 2. Weekly credit control process on Qube to action tenant arrears including issuing of reminders and warnings. Prepare schedules for follow up action by debt collectors. 3. Support the London team in answering account queries raised by tenants. 4. General administration tasks in Israel office including scanning documents, filing and post. 5. Support the London team in administering utility billing on Qube: recording of electricity and water meter readings and generating bills. Role – secondary optional responsibilities that may be given depending on the skills& experience of the candidate 6. Assist the London team in setting up new properties on Qube. 7. Record and reconcile payment of rents received from the property bank accounts to owner bank accounts. 8.
