Processes quality Management
Goal:
•To establish, measure, monitor and improve cross-functional processes in order to improve quality, Time-To-Market and cost effectiveness.
Note – establishment means work closely with relevant managers who are the process owners.
Responsibilities:
Define and measure complete product realization processes:
•MRD definition
•Design and development including product specification, high/low level design, Hardware development process, Software development process, testing
•Design for Manufacturability and Testability, Reliability, Standardization
•Configuration control
•Products Validation & Verification (V&V)
•Product qualification and standardization compliance
•Product NPI and Production readiness
•Product release
•Bugs reproduction and management
•Customer complaints and enhancements requests
•Escalation process
•Reuse of good known S/W, H/W modules and increase the products standardization.
Each process shall contain detailed description of the various:
•Major Functions, owners and scope of work within the process.
•Process phases and their inputs and outputs
•Control gates content and escalations if gate criteria didn't achieve.
•KPIs of the process.
•Perform in-process audits
•Participate in Design Reviews
•Perform Gates audits and monitoring
•Participate in review and approval of Gates' products
•Establish, maintain and publish KPIs
•Lead the organization to CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) implementation and accreditation
•Establish and lead six sigma programs
•Define templates for OEMs design activities
•De-briefings
Required Characteristics:
Education:
•Software/ Electronic/Industrial Engineer.
•Formal education in quality methodologies (CQE, CSQE, MSc.).
•Formal education of six sigma methodology. Black belt – a plus.
Professional Experience:
•R&D control (SW or System or HW) - at least 5 years
•In depth knowledge of electronic product development process (preferably professional AV products)
•Experience with CMMI implementation
•Quality and Reliability Engineering experience is a plus
•Familiarity with International Quality Standards such as ISO9001:2008
•Experience in Audits of development groups is a plus
•Experience in six sigma implementation
•Process oriented experience.
•Engineering experience in moving products from R&D into production.
