Job requirements:
Working in an agile software development environment, our Testing and Automation Lead will define the test strategy and approach, provide quality assurance leadership, and be ultimately responsible for ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success building, leading, and managing a functional and technical QA team with a strong sense of customer-oriented, quality ownership and feature avocations. This is a hands-on job that requires strategic thinking and planning to provide leadership and expertise throughout the entire QA lifecycle, ensuring the success of the team automation and manual efforts. The Testing and Automation Lead will provide regular direction, mentorship, and coaching to QA team members.
If you are an experienced QA manager, looking for a key position in a highly dynamic and successful start-up, this is the job for you. You will get to call the shots on all aspects of building the team (strategy, people, processes, technology). You will report directly to the CTO and be able to build the infrastructure that will eventually enable us to continuously integrate and auto deploy our software solution to our AWS environment.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years experience as a software quality manager, building, managing and growing a QA team
• Demonstrated history of passion for software and product quality
• Excellent communication and influence skills
• Proven track record in setting up and leading the development of automation tools
• Experience testing consumer-focused web and mobile ecommerce web sites
• Strong understanding of testing web services
• In depth knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advantages:
• • In depth knowledge of agile development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)
• • Experience in setting up and developing continuous integration and automated deployment tools
• • Experience in managing QA in a start-up
• • Experience in managing off-shore teams
• • B.Sc. in CS or equivalent
