MORE ABOUT MAKER FLEET

Maker Fleet addresses several key issues in Israel and many countries around the world. Israelis are rightfully proud of the miracle of the Startup Nation, but the vast majority of the population doesn't participate in the tech sector; the quality of education and school rankings have been falling; economic disparity and poverty have been rising; and large parts of certain populations hardly participate in the job market. In addition, Israel is not currently graduating enough engineers and scientists to maintain its technological edge and teaching and learning need to adapt to new challenges and opportunities in the coming decades.

There's a lot of interest and excitement from the tech and science community, and there are many natural partners including leading software, hardware, robotics, space and biotech companies, maker accelerators, educators, government officials and philanthropic organizations.

If you have an interest in venture capital, entrepreneurship and crowdfunding, note that hardware, the Internet of Things, autonomous vehicles, distributed and personalized manufacturing, virtual reality and augmented reality all have roots in the maker movement and are prolific investment areas. In addition, top entrepreneurs, tech professionals and investors love and often sponsor maker initiatives and hackathons.

Our Co-Founder is a serial entrepreneur and tech investment banking analyst who sold his first profitable maker project at age 8, and helped produce the first award-winning documentary film on the Maker movement, which was screened by Aleph Venture Capital at DLD Tel Aviv and maker festivals around the world, featuring interviews with Tim O'Reilly, Founder of O'Reilly Media & AlphaTech Ventures; Dale Dougherty, Founder & CEO of Maker Faire; Carl Bass CEO of Autodesk; Chris Anderson: Author of "Makers: The New Industrial Revolution", CEO at 3D Robotics; Charles Adler: Co-Founder of Kickstarter; Danae Ringelmann, Co-founder of Indiegogo, and other maker leaders and tool makers.

If you have the passion and skill to serve in an elite unit of Tikkun Olam [making the world a better place], Maker Fleet wants you! Help level the playing field and inspire the next generation of scientists, technologists, entrepreneurs, designers and leaders.
